Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a global components distribution company with headquarters in Roanoke, VA is looking for a highly motivated, career-minded individual for the Warehouse Shipping Clerk position at the Berlin, Connecticut branch. Hours 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

This position requires a candidate to have experience in a warehouse/production environment – and have the ability to multi-task and coordinate complex production schedules and requirements. The candidate should be familiar with and be able to interpret packing slips and enter into the computer the correct information. Applicants must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Experience with the Shiplinx program (shipping UPS, FedEx and Motor Freight) is considered a bonus and familiarity with the most common material handling equipment is preferred. A successful work history that demonstrates commitment and dependability is required.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews orders to be filled
• Picks customer orders from assigned locations using power equipment (forklifts, etc.)
• Examines shipment contents and compares with records, invoices and/or orders to verify accuracy
• Records shipment data, such as weight, damages or discrepancies for reporting
• Packs, seals, labels and applies postage to prepare materials for shipment
• Communicates with sales and purchasing to rectify problems related to damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications
• Continuously improves productivity and efficiency of processes throughout distribution
• Performs cycle counts
• Aids in keeping a clean warehouse
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Valid Driving License with a clean driving history
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Tow motor / Forklift experience (licensing required within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to lift/move 40lbs continuously throughout the work day
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 60lbs
