Business Analyst/ Sales Operations Team

Position Overview:

This position reports to the Sales Operations Manager which requires a thorough working knowledge of cost factors impacting the overall company profitability. This position is dedicated to helping our organization run effectively and efficiently in support of business strategies and objectives. This role requires analysis of data and recommended course of action to enable better decision making by the management team ultimately to improve the long-term profitability of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:

Support, monitor, and perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

Price Management:

• Profitability Review at Part Level (Market Prices and Competitiveness)
• Improving Overall Company GP%
• Price List Maintenance (General Sales)
• Manage Tariff Pricing and/or surcharges
• Monitoring Cost Factors Impacting Profitability (i.e. COG & Freight)

Customer Management:

• Profitability of Customer to Plan
• Contract Pricing Review (Customer & Part Level)
• Review of E&O Detail to Facilitate Resolution
• Compilation of WBR Data

Operations:

• Create KPI’s for Sales & Operations (i.e. Customer Balance S-M-L, Bin Value, Order Value, Quality Performance, Exhaustion opportunities etc.)
• Manage the tasks and ensure actions are completed

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Associates degree minimum requirement
• Four years’ experience in cost accounting/operations roles
• Experience in sales desired.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Knowledge of distribution processes and cost accounting.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills to facilitate internal communication
• Strong written communication skills to convey information to employees through e-mail and to document processes and procedures.
• Organizational skills to ensure good time management and timely progression through projects.
• Ability to prioritize duties and manage work requests coming from various sources.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work products.
• Fully proficient in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Analytical ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Ability to define goals, seek information, and make recommendations with minimal supervision.
