Shipping Receiving Associate
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Rate: $18.00/hour
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products are accurately received, stored, tracked, and shipped to customers. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, has strong organizational skills, and takes pride in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Unload, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory movement.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
- Generate and maintain shipping and receiving records and documentation.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory audits.
- Support e-commerce fulfillment operations by processing online orders for timely shipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete required training and comply with all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and record keeping.
- Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems is a plus.
- E-commerce fulfillment experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required throughout the workday.
