What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping + Receiving Clerk position at Wulf Talent Hunters?
A truck backs up to the dock with forty cartons and a packing slip that does not quite match. Most people would sign for it and move on. The right person counts twice, flags the short box, and saves everyone a headache three weeks from now.
Every order that ships right starts with a shelf that was stocked right. We are looking for the person who makes both happen.
The Role
As our Shipping Receiving Clerk, you own both ends of the dock. When product comes in, you check it, label it, and give it a home. When orders go out, you pick them, pack them, and make sure they leave the building exactly as promised. In between, you keep the numbers honest so the system always matches the shelf.
Some mornings start with a full trailer waiting to be unloaded. Others start with a stack of online orders that need to make the afternoon pickup. Either way, you are the reason inventory is where it should be and customers get exactly what they paid for.
What You Will Do
- Receive incoming shipments and check every item against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping paperwork
- Inspect deliveries and report shortages, damage, or anything else that does not add up
- Unload, label, and put away inventory in its proper warehouse location
- Use RF scanners and our warehouse management system (WMS) to track every move inventory makes
- Pick, pack, and prep customer orders for shipment, getting them right the first time
- Create and maintain shipping and receiving records so every box has a paper trail
- Help with cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory audits
- Process online orders and keep our ecommerce fulfillment moving on schedule
- Work with the warehouse and operations teams to solve shipping, receiving, and inventory issues
- Keep your area clean, organized, and safe, and follow every company safety procedure and training requirement
What It Takes
- Experience using RF scanners and a warehouse management system
- Strong attention to detail, because one wrong count can ripple through the whole operation
- Basic computer, data entry, and math skills for counting stock and keeping clean records
- Clear communication, solid organization, and a knack for solving problems before they grow
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move materials throughout the workday
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience preferred, though reliability and a sharp eye matter just as much
Nice to Have
- Forklift experience, with certification a plus but not required
- Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
- Experience in ecommerce fulfillment
Schedule & Flexibility
This is a full time, on site day shift role, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your evenings and weekends stay yours.
The day runs on dock appointments and carrier pickups, and most of it moves at a steady clip. Now and then a late truck or a surprise rush shakes things up. That is when someone who stays calm and keeps counting really earns their stripes.
Compensation
This role pays $18.00 per hour. Along with a steady paycheck, you get ongoing training, a supportive team that has your back, and real room to grow with a stable company that is still expanding.
Work Environment
You will spend your day on an active warehouse floor, moving between the receiving dock, the storage racks, and the packing station. Expect to be on your feet, lifting and moving product, and working safely around forklifts and freight all day.
Ready?
If you are the kind of person who notices the box that came in one short, who likes a shelf where everything has its place, and who wants a job where being dependable actually gets noticed, we want to meet you.
Salary : $18
