Summary
WTW has an exciting opportunity in our Retirement (“RET”) business to lead our Retiree Welfare consulting group within the US market. This is a senior leadership opportunity to be a principal figure within our respected Retirement business, providing best in class advisory services supporting our clients’ total rewards needs.
You will drive the development of our market-leading Retiree Welfare consulting group, working beside some of the US market’s top thought leaders in Retirement, Health & Benefits, and Benefits Delivery & Administration (BDA), designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions to solve the human capital challenges faced by some of the world’s largest employers.

Responsibilities
- Act as a leading representative and advocate of WTW consulting services, ensuring innovation and quality in client deliverables
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for clients with surplus assets
- Partner closely with the Pension Risk Transfer team to build and expand the Medical Risk Transfer market, including buy-ins and buy-outs
- Expand operational capabilities with Via Benefits stakeholders to support and execute Medical Risk Transfer transactions
- Lead a team of subject matter experts, driving development of intellectual capital across retiree welfare topics such as total rewards, financial resilience, early retirement programs, retention strategies, and retirement readiness
- Serve as a technical expert in retiree welfare plan design and assumption setting in collaboration with H&B, as well as administrative delivery in partnership with BDA
- Act as a domain expert in the Medical Risk Transfer market, contributing to high-quality client deliverables and driving measurable client value
- Identify client needs and opportunities within retiree welfare, linking these to broader Retirement, H&B, and BDA value propositions
- Oversee complex, highly customized projects, supporting team members to deliver strong day-to-day execution
- Take ownership of proposition development and execution to support revenue growth across the US market and broader Retirement business
- Collaborate across internal initiatives and client projects, effectively managing competing priorities
- Leverage market presence to build trusted advisor relationships with clients through strong communication and high-quality delivery
- Develop and mentor senior team members, providing guidance on technical expertise, client management, and business development, while supporting junior colleagues’ growth
Requirements
- Deep expertise in retiree welfare programs and a strong understanding of their value to organizations
- Established market credibility, with the ability to leverage and expand an existing professional network
- Demonstrated confidence and effectiveness when engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels, including the ability to influence and lead C-suite discussions
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, and commercial acumen, with experience building trust across cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong business development mindset, with an interest in innovation, quality assurance, and delivering best-in-class service
- Ability to operate in a hybrid work environment with flexibility regarding US location
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed
