Traffic Coordinator

WTTW (Chicago PBS) is seeking a Traffic Coordinator. The Coordinator will be responsible for working with the broadcast team to create on-air playlists for all WTTW channels.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Complete broadcast logs with interstitial and secondary events for 11.1, 11.2 & 11.4 on a rotating basis with broadcasting team.

·         Communicate with Hub master control in to resolve issues and make log changes.

·         Monitor media alerts.

·         Enter promos and interstitials into ProTrack.

·         Generate departmental reports on an as-needed basis.

·         Monitor on-air breaks & screen programming.

·         Deal with last-minute changes and on-air issues, occasionally from home on nights and weekends.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Adaptable to change and new technologies

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

·         Ability to prioritize duties and projects to use time effectively

·         Initiative to find ways to improve process/create efficiencies for best on-air practices

·         Ability to multitask, delegate and communicate

EXPERIENCE:

·         Some Broadcast Traffic experience preferred

·         Myers Pro-Track proficiency is a plus

 EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree      

ESTIMATED SALARY RANGE: starting at $41,600 - $46,000/annual
