Responsibilities
- Coordinate project plans, design calculations, and specifications, and lead coordination with other design disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering services.
- Attend meetings and site visits with clients as a representative of the firm.
- Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and identify structural deficiencies.
- Perform condition assessments, load ratings, schematic designs and prepare written reports to summarize investigation results.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
- Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
- Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
- Manage project design and deliverables.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)
- 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering
- NY PE required
- Ability to manage projects and clients, delegate tasks, and mentor technical staff
- Understanding and application of code requirements
- Experience in using various structural analysis software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
- AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus
- Work Location & Schedule
- In person (Nyack, NY)
- Full-time, in-office position
- Typical office hours are 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with occasional flexibility as project needs allow
- Relocation to Nyack, NY 10960 required
