Road Service Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Respond to road service calls from drivers experiencing vehicle breakdowns or mechanical issues.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues over the phone and coordinate repairs with drivers, vendors, and company shops, logging issues in Transman.
• Support Owner Operators with breakdowns and vendor payments.
• Create purchase orders and virtual payments for vendors.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication between drivers, vendors, and the company's maintenance team.
• Maintain vendor portals (e.g., Loves, Travel Centers of America, Michelin).
• Expedite repair processes for out-of-service trailers and tractors.
• Assist Admin with billing credits, duplicates, and corrections.
• Submit forms and follow processes to onboard new vendors and update location information.
• Perform Related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in a fleet maintenance, dispatch, or roadside assistance role (trucking industry preferred)
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, roadside safety, and vendor management preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
