Summary:
Engineering firm in Miami, Florida, is looking for a Licensed Project Architect with diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices who provides leadership and mentorship to the junior architectural staff. This individual also coordinates, plans and develops complex programs of all sizes requiring minimal supervision. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical precision, design fluency, and leadership in producing well-coordinated construction documents from concept through completion.
You will be responsible for leading production efforts, overseeing multi-disciplinary coordination, and ensuring code compliance, while supporting creative design solutions. This role may involve supervising a small team and will report to firm leadership on project progress and quality. This position reports directly to the Principal in Charge of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead production of architectural drawings and specifications for permit and construction
- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure technical accuracy and design integrity
- Assist in design development and problemsolving
- Ensure compliance with code, ADA, and constructability standards
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and technicians
- Participate in construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits)
- Uphold firm documentation standards and participate in internal QA/QC
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture
- Minimum (10) years of experience in both design and production roles
- Architectural licensure (Required), LEED accreditation a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Rhino, Lumion, VRay, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of detailing, building systems, codes, and permitting
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience in a leading U.S. or international architecture firm preferred
