Coordinator of FacilitiesSalary Range: $70,000 $90,000The Coordinator of Facilities is responsible for ensuring that all WSWSU school buildings and grounds are safe, clean, well-maintained, and fully operational. This role oversees day-to-day maintenance, repairs, building systems, preventative maintenance schedules, custodial coordination, and the overall condition of school facilities. The Coordinator works closely with administrators, maintenance staff, custodians, and contractors to ensure timely response to repair needs, efficient operation of heating, ventilation, electrical, and mechanical systems, and compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.In addition to maintaining facilities, the Coordinator is responsible for identifying and applying for applicable federal and state grants that support facility improvement, energy efficiency, and safety enhancements. The Coordinator must understand and follow Vermonts public bid and procurement requirements to ensure all purchasing and contractor selection is conducted legally and transparently.This position includes limited oversight of student transportation, working with contracted bus services and staff to address safety, routing, scheduling, and communication needs.Core Responsibilities1.
Manage and monitor facility maintenance projects in a timely and safe manner.2. Provide oversight of construction and renovation projects.3. Maintain and track building budgets, including supplies, materials, and contractor services.4. Communicate regularly with contractors, vendors, and state agencies regarding safety and finance requirements5.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, ADA, and environmental guidelines.6. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all facilities-related work and inspections.7. Support building use schedules for events and activities.8. Work collaboratively with school administrators to address facility needs and priorities.9.
Conduct regular building walkthroughs to assess conditions, identify needs, and plan preventative maintenance.10. Create good working relationships with maintenance personnel. 11. Develop and implement long-term capital improvement and preventative maintenance plans.12.
Monitor heating, ventilation, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.13. Respond to emergencies during or after regular school hours, including weather-related events or urgent building issues.14. Ensure all school grounds, including athletic fields and play areas, are properly maintained.15. Develop and implement transportation contracts and bus maintenance.
