Work Hours:Up to 19 hours a week. Some additional hours are required monthly for faculty meetings and professional development.Hours each week may include time for home study packet creation, tutoring sessions, student case management, and data management
This position is in a program that assists individuals (age 16 ) in developing basic literacy skills and eventually earning a NYS high school equivalency diploma (GED).
Ability to successfully teach multiple subject areas, including high-level math
Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
Ability to organize and maintain data systems
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Job Qualifications
Valid NYS Teaching Certificate
Secondary Education Certification (grades 7-12) preferred
