Description
Responsible for the inspection of incoming, processed, and out-going products including verification of conformance with steel industry and customer specifications.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Performs and records visual and dimensional inspections.
· Interprets blueprints for inspection processes i.e. inspection plans.
· Assist with quality training in inspection equipment, policies and procedures.
· Read and log data through Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
· Assist Operations Manager in investigations of process related to quality issues.
· Write non-Conforming Material Reports when required and quarantining products that have been rejected by QA.
· Provides samples and communication to QA concerning quality issues when required.
· Assist Quality Engineer with ISIR, PPAP, and capability studies.
· Ability to Support ISO 9001:2015 practices and procedures across workforce.
· Completes accurate records (on paper and electronic data) to provide excellent results of data requested.
· Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of work.
· Support inventory accuracy. Reporting non-conforming to supervisors.
· Work with purchasing on mill returns/credits.
· Work with Operations Manager on customer returns on material dispositions.
· Review all cut orders and attach prints and inspection sheets.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
