What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at Wsmiradio?
Talley Broadcasting Corporation, radio stations WAOX, WSMI, WSMI-FM, is looking for you if you’re an experienced Account Executive with a proven record of initiating new advertising business, growing existing business, and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients. Applicants with limited sales experience with broadcast training or a degree in broadcast communications or a similar degree will also be considered. We currently offer broadcast sales training from a respected international broadcast sales consultant. This is a full-time position, and we are seeking a long-term working relationship with a new staff member. Applicants who also have sales management experience would be welcomed. Our stations are located in Montgomery & Macoupin Counties in Illinois. Applicants that have ties to the area are preferred. Our small market operation is respected and our mission is to serve our communities with local news and information, ag news, weather & sports. Our mission is reflected in WSMI’s call letters that were chosen to stand for “We Serve Mid-Illinois”. We broadcast local high school sports play by play, Illini Football & Basketball, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, Country music on WSMI AM & FM and Hot A/C music on WAOX. This is a good place to work, several staff members have been with the stations for decades. Station management and ownership is stable.
