What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Spotter position at WSI?
Shift
Rotating 12-Hour Day Shift
- 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- 2-2-3 Schedule
- $19.50 per hour, home every night
Position Summary
Under appropriate supervision, the CDL Spotter will perform transportation responsibilities within local operations while supporting all transportation-related activities. This position requires a valid Class A CDL and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment required to transfer materials to designated locations
- Move trailers safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Interface professionally with shift leadership and plant personnel
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to trailer movement and material transfers
- Exercise reasonable care in handling customer products
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Solid and dependable work history
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Must successfully pass:
- Pre-employment background check
- Post-offer drug screen
- Physical examination
