What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources (HR) Assistant position at WSI (Warehouse Specialists, LLC)?
Our Human Resources Assistant is responsible for verifying and submitting weekly time cards for more than 100 employees to payroll for processing. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting recruiting needs as well as participating in other Human Resources related activities, policies, and procedures. This full-time hourly position will report to the Human Resources Generalist and will primarily work onsite at our Kimberly-Clark location, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4:30 PM.

- Ensure accurate collection and coding of employee time and manage the related attendance policy.
- Support recruitment and hiring needs and ensure pre-employment requirements are completed.
- Complete certain onboarding tasks for new employees, such as creating badges.
- Maintain employee documentation and files.
- Answer questions and support employee and leader requests related to Human Resources needs.
- Participate in employee meetings, separations of employment, and Human Resource investigations.
- Manage employee documentation, including employee changes, such as pay and job status.
- Assist with applicant, candidate, and employee communication and documentation.
- Assist Leadership with administrative duties (paperwork filing, ordering office supplies, etc.).
- Manage employee recognition programs.
- May conduct new hire orientation.
- Ability to flex work schedule, as needed, to support Human Resources related concerns or projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, while being analytical.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn the organization’s HRIS systems quickly.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience.
- 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, and within an operational or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk, typing on a computer, and talking on the phone.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn; stand, climb, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow dress code guided by the company.
