What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Shift Lift Truck Operator-Fontana, CA (52513) position at WSI (Warehouse Specialists, LLC)?
We are hiring for a 1st Shift Lift Truck Operator (8am-4:30pm) (these hours may change slightly, based on operational needs) to provide quality material handling to support operations and achieve growth. This position will be reporting to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak season. - Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks
- Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records such as cycle counts
- Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
- Experience operating lift truck attachments. 2 years forklift experience preferred with single double attachments
- Experience loading and unloading trucks using lift truck equipment
- Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
- Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
- Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in warehouse environment
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be willing and able to slide, push, or pull cases up to 60 pounds
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
