As a Carrier Sales Representative, you’ll play a critical role in keeping freight moving efficiently while driving business growth and profitability. This is a high-energy, fast-paced, and competitive role perfect for individuals who love to sell, negotiate, and build relationships. This salary plus commission position will report to the Director of Transportation and will require in-office work located in Dallas, Texas.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prospect, negotiate and develop a network of reliable carriers through calls, emails, referrals, and lead generation.
- Meet or exceed individual and team goals while ensuring freight is picked up and delivered on time, every time.
- Gain expertise in carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and industry trends.
- Learn and track freight networks to align the right carriers with the best opportunities.
- Use our industry-leading platform to optimize load planning, dispatching, tracking, and problem-solving.
- Proactively manage load scheduling, tender acceptance, tracking, and troubleshooting to ensure high service levels.
- Be a trusted advisor to carriers, advocating for their needs while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
- Provide tracking and shipment status updates to support customer requests and expectations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree OR relevant freight brokerage experience.
- Recent graduate or 1-2 years of experience – no experience? No problem! If you have the right drive, we’ll train you.
- Previous experience in freight brokerage or logistics preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, at a desk in front of a computer screen.
- Proficient use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as well as the ability to type, scroll, and click efficiently.
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds, such as office supplies or small equipment.
- Ability to move within an office, including occasional walking, bending, reaching, and climbing short flights of stairs.
- Clear communication, both verbal and written, including phone conversations, virtual meetings, and face-to-face.
- Adequate vision to read documents, use computer screens, and navigate office space.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise, such as printers, telephones, and office conversations.
