Part-Time Field Resource Supervisor – Evenings – Reno/Washoe County

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Part-Time Field Resource Supervisor in the Reno/Washoe County area. Shifts start at 5:30 PM and typically run 3–5 hours, Monday through Friday role on very rare occasions a Saturday shift may be needed. This is a leadership role in the field, built for someone who can run a team, hold a standard, and keep service moving. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the current IRS standard rate for all work-related driving.

What You'll Do

As a Field Resource Supervisor, your primary responsibility is keeping service running smoothly every night. You'll supervise Service Porters across multiple properties, arrange coverage when shifts go unstaffed, and step in directly when needed. You'll train new team members on company SOPs, safety protocols, and customer service standards, and conduct regular on-site audits to assess service quality and identify where improvement is needed.

In the field, you'll perform routine property visits to ensure service is executing properly - verifying doorstep pickups meet company standards, conducting dumpster spot checks, and catching recurring issues before they become patterns. You'll oversee pet waste station management, including tracking, maintenance, and liner replacement, and ensure all staff are using the mobile app correctly for service tracking, compliance documentation, and timekeeping.

On the communication side, you'll maintain nightly contact with your team - gathering technician-reported issues, addressing minor problems in real time, and escalating repeat compliance failures through the appropriate channels. You'll track attendance, confirm all assigned routes are active and staffed each night, and report absences or delays immediately. Equipment delivery, supply runs, and overflow support are also part of this role when the team needs it.

Schedule

Shifts begin at 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Typical shift length is 3–5 hours, for approximately 15–20 hours per week. This is a Monday through Friday role. On very rare occasions a Saturday shift may be needed.

Pay

Pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Mileage driven for work is reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate, which is subject to annual adjustment.

Physical Requirements

This role involves active field work across multiple properties - extensive walking, ascending and descending stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

What You Need

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid Nevada driver's license and active auto liability insurance, which must be maintained throughout employment. A smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled is required. You must be able to speak, read, and write in English and be available Monday through Friday evenings.
