We’re an independent recruitment agency partnering with a respected community behavioral health provider in Aurora, Colorado to hire an Addiction Technician or Addiction Specialist for a 24/7 Detox Center. This role provides direct client care in a 30-bed facility delivering ASAM 3.2 (Social Model Detox) services for individuals experiencing acute intoxication and/or withdrawal.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients who are actively intoxicated and/or experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
- Offer structure, safety, stability, and direction in a detox environment.
- Recognize emergency signals and respond appropriately and promptly.
- Complete accurate, timely, ethical, and legally compliant documentation, including:
- Admissions and discharges
- Inventories/screening of client personal belongings
- Charting significant client interactions
- Monitor and document client vital signs, physical condition, and behavior as needed.
- Enter data into electronic health record systems and document using Microsoft Office tools as required.
- Observe and document Urinalysis (UA) and Breath Alcohol (BA) tests when needed.
- Maintain a safe and secure facility environment (including ensuring doors remain secured and the space stays orderly).
- Dispose of biohazard waste in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Connect clients to supportive services that enhance treatment and counseling.
- Assist with client transportation to hospitals, aftercare, or other approved services as directed by the Shift Supervisor (as needed).
- Complete care coordination tasks aligned with the assigned role.
