This individual will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, analyzing royalty streams, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, and providing data-driven insights to optimize category and regional performance.

This role sits at the intersection of accounting, finance, and licensing, requiring both strong analytical rigor and a commercial understanding of licensing structures, distribution models, and brand monetization.

Deal Evaluation & Financial Modeling

  • Support financial analysis of new licensing deals, including:
  • Royalty rate structures
  • MG scenarios and downside protection

  • Build pro forma models to assess deal profitability and long-term value creation
  • Partner with business development and legal teams to evaluate commercial terms and financial impact

Forecasting & Budgeting

  • Develop and manage revenue forecasts across licensing streams
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning (LRP) processes
  • Analyze variances between actuals vs. forecast and provide actionable insights

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Licensing, Business Development, Legal, and Operations teams
  • Support contract interpretation related to financial terms (royalties, deductions, net sales definitions)
  • Assist in audits of licensees and distributors, where applicable

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 5-8years of experience in:
  • Accounting (public or private), financial analysis, FP&A, transaction advisory, or a combination of some or all of the above
  • Experience within licensing, consumer brands, retail, or wholesale
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills (advanced)
  • Understanding of revenue recognition, P&L drivers, and forecasting methodologies
  • Experience working with multi-entity or global business structures

Preferred

  • Exposure to licensing agreements (royalties, MGs, net sales definitions, distributor models)
  • Experience working with general ledger software
  • Experience analyzing DTC, wholesale, and licensing revenue streams
  • Familiarity with contract terms impacting financial outcomes

Core Competencies

  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong financial acumen
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to connect numbers to business strategy
  • Strong communication skills—able to present insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple brands, partners, and revenue streams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
