The Manager of Applications & Data Services will effectively lead, manage, motivate, and direct the strategic vision for a team of application support and business reporting specialists. The Manager will oversee both on premises and SaaS third party applications and data systems used within the bank ensuring efficient operation, data integrity, and compliance. The incumbent will deliver business application support for banking operations and understands data and predictive analytics. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to understand the needs and objectives of business line partners and define strategies to deliver services and solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct a proficient team of data and application professionals who ensure the seamless performance of all core banking systems and critical business applications inclusive of third party applications both on premise and SaaS solutions that integrate with the core banking system.
- Responsible to provide data reporting and analytics for business decisions, financial reporting, operational process and controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to understand data elements and usage to support development, integrations to third party applications, and critical reporting.
- Development and productivity of individual group members as well as developing a culture of inter-group and inter-departmental teamwork and frequent communication.
- Partner or lead key projects, for strategic business initiatives and projects.
- Lead core banking system conversions, acquisitions, or divestitures by executing task deliverables and ensuring change management guidelines are met.
- Serve on various committees, task forces, and project teams to enhance the development of new products and services, or implementation of systems or process designs.
- Collaborate with members of senior management and line of business leaders to align the strategy with the overall business objectives of the bank, ensure that department’s tactical plans support the business lines’ goals and objectives and ensure regulatory requirements are satisfied.
- Manage third party application vendors and monitor performance and capacity requirements for supported applications.
- Support Teams with trouble shooting and providing problem resolution for production issues, application performance and product or data anomalies.
- Work with internal and external audits, regulators and Compliance to fulfill data request for audits, performance of controls, regulatory compliance and completeness and accuracy validation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field is required.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of progressive management/supervisor experience in a high-volume, deadline-dependent, production environment in the banking industry.
- Must have 10 plus years demonstrated experience supporting on prem, hosted, and SaaS applications, including application lifecycle management.
- Prior banking and or financial services industry experience is required.
- Must have extensive knowledge of business and banking application systems with in-depth knowledge of loan, deposit and customer applications and compliance knowledge, and operations in multiple financial services disciplines (i.e. deposit servicing, lending operations, audit and risk).
- Demonstrated experience with FIS and/or FISERV core banking systems highly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred. nCino experience is a plus.
- Competency or direct experience within banking operations and financial business applications.
- Demonstrated experience providing data reporting and analytics for business decisions, financial reporting, operational process and controls.
- Must have strong leadership skills and experience.
- Must have traditional client server and web-based application experience related to bank financial and delivery applications, with legacy mainframe data processing experience.
- Must have the ability to envision processes, solution, risks to deliver solutions for strategic initiatives and business challenges, challenging the status quo to find the ways to solution business request in an optimal manner.
- Must have strong competencies to understand how to leverage data and analytics to achieve results.
- Must have strong skills using Windows and Microsoft software and business intelligence tools.
- Experience managing third party application vendors and monitoring performance and capacity requirements for supported applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and/or weekends as needed to support planned upgrades and deployments.
- Ability to travel within the WSFS Bank footprint in the Greater Philadelphia region as needed.
