Responsibilities
About the Role This is a hands-on position offering a mix of responsibilities that will keep your work dynamic and rewarding:
- Preparation of attest financial statements; Reviews and Compilations
- Preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Supporting clients with QuickBooks setup and ongoing troubleshooting
- Helping businesses improve their accounting systems and implement best practices
- Cleaning up accounting records, reconciling balances, and solving the “puzzle” of messy books

What We Are Looking For
- Professional Credentials: Licensed CPA (or in progress) with solid experience in both GAAP and tax, in a public accounting setting.
- Industry Experience: Exposure to construction and related industries is highly valued. Familiarity with job costing schedules is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with QuickBooks and the Thomson Reuters suite (including UltraTax) is a bonus. Comfort working in a paperless environment is a must.
- Tax Compliance: Practical knowledge of payroll and sales tax filings, as well as the ability to perform related research, will set you apart.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are non-negotiable — you’ll work closely with clients and team members across all levels.
- Time Management: Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment without losing sight of the details.
