What You Will Do:

• All aspects of multi-discipline projects and clients from the proposal process to project closeout
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities including client meetings, public hearings, and public involvement events
• Manage time frames and budgets
• Anticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordingly
• Lead, coordinate and delegate work to multiple work teams working in multiple locations
• Work directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and or projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting
• Formulate, track and meet program and project budgets and schedules
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare or coordinate preparation of project / client correspondence and documentation
• Participate in and lead business development activities to new and existing clients
• Plan, lead and participate in client meetings and networking events
• Develop new client contacts and relationships in all areas of expertise
• Understand alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and ability to secure funding
• Act as extension of client City engineering or public works staff in a managerial role and as a Client Manager
• Responsible for delivery of services across several WSB disciplines to the client
  
  

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school
• 7 years municipal experience; direct experience working for a municipality is a plus
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota
• Senior Project Manager title for the person with the right experience
• Experience in managing municipal CIP programs, projects, clients and staff in this market
• History in delivering projects with positive customer service experiences
• Positive attitude & willingness to learn
• Develop an understanding of, or even anticipate the client’s needs
• Ability to work 40 hours a week
• Ability to work in posted locations
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
