About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Television Engineer with a strong IT background to support, maintain, and develop our modern broadcast and media systems. This role sits at the intersection of broadcast engineering and information technology, supporting IP-based production workflows, studio systems, and transmission infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design, maintain, and troubleshoot IP-based broadcast and media systems
•
Support studio, control room, and playout operations with a focus on networked technologies
•
Manage and monitor broadcast IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualized environments
•
Configure and support video-over-IP, streaming, and contribution/distribution systems
•
Work with engineering and production teams to ensure high availability and system reliability
•
Support cybersecurity best practices for broadcast and media systems
Required Skills & Experience
•
Degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Engineering, IT, Electronics, or a related field
•
Strong knowledge of IP networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)
•
Experience with broadcast systems (studio, playout, transmission, or post-production)
•
Familiarity with servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage systems
•
Experience with Linux and/or Windows server environments
•
Understanding of video and audio standards (SDI, SMPTE 2110, NDI, AES67)
•
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
•
Experience with cloud-based media workflows
•
Knowledge of automation, MAM, and playout systems
•
Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
•
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in broadcast environments
•
Broadcast certifications or IT certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
