Material Handler
Pay: $18 - $20/hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Variable day, night, weekend, and overtime shifts as needed. SWING SHIFTS!
Summary
The Material Handler supports plant operations by moving materials, preparing shipments, operating equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and assisting with production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, palletize, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Load trucks and ensure order accuracy.
- Support plant operations and material handling activities.
- Operate packaging equipment and assist with production processes.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping, shoveling, and general cleanup.
- Conduct equipment inspections and complete safety documentation.
- Assist with product sampling and quality control activities.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Material handling and forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn equipment operation and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
Working Conditions
- Industrial plant environment.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and physical labor.
- Ability to work at heights and around heavy equipment.
