WRS has an immediate opening for a Scraper Tractor Operator. The Scraper Tractor Operator is responsible for operating large tractors with pull-scrapers to move, cut, and grade earth for both construction and agricultural projects. This position requires proficiency in heavy equipment operation, GPS guidance systems, and the ability to adapt to a variety of site conditions.

Your Responsibilities
- Understand grades and elevations (finish-grade, sub-grade, etc.)
- Understand GPS and equipment.
- Perform maintenance on equipment at the beginning and end of each day (fuel, grease, inspection, minor field repairs).
- Must have a hands-on attitude and be able to adjust/respond to situations in the field as they arise.
- Must be able to communicate well with other contractors.
- Operate tractors with pull-scrapers to load, haul, and dump soil, rock, and other materials.
- Perform earthmoving operations for construction projects (site prep, roads, grading) and agricultural projects (land leveling, field preparation, drainage work).
- Utilize GPS equipment to achieve precise grading for both farm and construction applications.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, refueling, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Safely operate scraper units across varied terrain, soil types, and weather conditions.
- Follow grade stakes, project plans, and digital GPS models to execute work to specification.
- Uphold company safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
- Off season maintenance and fabrication work.
- Willing to train the right candidate with tractor experience.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience running similar equipment
- TWIC card and current CDL a plus.
- Familiarity with GPS machine control systems (Trimble)
