Press Operator- 1st or 2nd shift

• 1st shift- Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:00 pm, OT on Fridays as needed,
• 2nd Shift - Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:00 am, OT on Fridays as needed, plus $1 shift premium for 2nd shift

Pay starting at $20/hour.

Under general supervision of the Group Leader, this position is responsible for the operation of all Press Department equipment. The Press Operator must use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers and indicators to properly measure part size.

Essential Functions

• Perform basic preventive maintenance and lubrication of equipment
• Maintain quality levels set forth by the Quality Assurance Department to meet customer expectations
• Proactively protect presses, support equipment and dies from damage
• Interpret and communicate all daily manufacturing paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of safe operating practices for stamping dies, presses and other support equipment preferred.
• Certification for fork truck operation ideal.
• Ability to work 10-hour days Monday through Thursday with additional hours occasionally on Friday.
