Job Title: Utility Machine Operator
Location: Mount Pleasant, WI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a Utility Machine Operator to support our manufacturing team by operating shakers (screeners) and Vision Sort machines. This role is vital to building, configuring, packing, and fulfilling orders that meet customer demands and shipping deadlines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist production with the various needs as instructed.
- Assist in daily activities in an efficient manner to provide consistent quality and output.
- Operate a variety of equipment to pick, pack, sort, and finish product.
- Use shipping equipment to stage product before distribution.
- Report equipment or product defects.
- Understand and perform as backup person withg daily distribution paperwork.
- Train new associates in the proper use of materials, machines, and computer systems used to track and record production information
- Support of training programs/policies. Including QMS.
- Responsible for record keeping and following requirements of key SOP’s
- Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
- Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Perform inventory counts
- Work with consistent speed and accuracy
- Report any machinery issues to management
- Work cooperatively with management and production team to meet quotas and goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in an industrial or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; ERP experience (Plex preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and adaptability to operational changes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements.
