Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Wrought Washer Mfg., Inc.
Milwaukee, WI Full Time
POSTED ON 4/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/28/2026

About the Company

Wrought Washer Mfg. is a Milwaukee-based precision manufacturer with approximately $50M in revenue and aggressive plans to grow 2–3x in the coming years. To get there, we need to build the supply chain foundation that growth demands — and that starts with this role.

About the Role

This is a hands-on building role today — infrastructure to create, processes to establish, a team to develop. We're looking for someone who is energized by that challenge and wants to grow alongside the business. As Wrought Washer scales, this function will expand in team size, strategic scope, and organizational influence. We want someone with the ambition and capability to lead that evolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a purchasing team responsible for steel procurement, MRO, and outside processing.
  • Build the broader supply chain infrastructure, data-driven processes, and organizational capability.
  • Manage supplier relationships, pricing negotiations, and material availability to support production schedules.
  • Oversee MRO procurement and outside processing suppliers through a purchasing team you will actively develop and grow.
  • Implement an S&OP process that connects purchasing decisions to production planning, demand signals, and inventory targets.
  • Establish procurement KPIs and reporting: supplier on-time delivery, purchase price variance, inventory turns, lead times, and spend by category.
  • Develop reorder point logic and safety stock models to reduce stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Leverage Plex ERP to improve data integrity, purchasing workflows, and inventory visibility.
  • Document and standardize processes so they are repeatable, auditable, and scalable.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and the president on sourcing strategy, capital purchases, and long-range supply chain planning.

Qualifications

  • 5 years in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Direct experience buying steel — flat rolled, coil, slit, or sheet — and working with mills or service centers.
  • Familiarity with slitting, sheeting, or metal processing supply chains.
  • Experience building or improving S&OP, demand planning, or inventory management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a purchasing team.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with ERP/MRP systems — Plex experience is a plus.
  • Experience with outside processing suppliers (plating, stamping, secondary services) preferred.

Required Skills

  • A builder — energized by creating structure and process, not just maintaining what exists.
  • Data-driven — you use metrics to manage suppliers, inventory, and your own performance.
  • Collaborative — you communicate clearly across functions and work well in a lean, fast-moving environment.
  • Ownership mentality — you act like it's your business, because in many ways this function will be.
  • Growth-oriented — you’re motivated by what this role can become, not just what it is on day one.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with outside processing suppliers (plating, stamping, secondary services) preferred.

Benefits

  • Health coverage: Medical, dental & vision.
  • Paid time off.
  • Competitive PTO.
  • 401(k) match: 60% match up to 6%.
  • Profit sharing: Eligible from day one.
  • Goals bonus: Performance-based.
