The successful candidate: ***Range of position: 17.51 - 20.49 - 24.87 USD Hourly. Schedule: must be flexible as needed between the hours of 6:00AM-6:30PM; weekends & holidays as needed*** The Sr. Cook is an experienced cook responsible for preparing quality, nutritious, attractive, and appealing food and beverage products for customers and patients under specialized care. The Sr. Cook operates in alignment with the organization's established Food and Dietetic nutritional guidelines, complies with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and completes other daily tasks assigned by leadership. The Sr. Cook relays leaderships' direction to culinary team members, trains on culinary competencies, provides leadership with frequent reports related to working conditions and food quality, and performs general department audits. Minimum Job Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook License/ Certification/ Permit: Currently dated Food Handler’s Permit from County/State Health Department in which you reside if required by the state (Required in AZ & IL). ServeSafe Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong customer services skills Ability to work well on a team Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills Ability to be flexible, adapting to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
