This is a unique opportunity for a pharmacy technician to work independently while spearheading the newest innovation in pharmacy and operating at the top of their license.
Tele-pharmacy is an up and coming area nationwide. Tele-pharmacies are staffed and operated by Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Consultations and order verification are preformed by a pharmacist via an audio/video link. Michigan recently passed a law allowing tele-pharmacies to operate and Wrigley's Pharmacy is leading the charge and we are looking for a technician to be one of the first to drive this change in pharmacy with us.
Duties will include:
Data entry, Preparing medications, preparing an inventory order, customer service, keeping work space tidy, setting up patients for virtual medication counseling by the pharmacist, logging all controlled substance data, maintaining documents and records, communication with pharmacist, patients, doctors, and management, transferring prescriptions, receiving telephone, fax, and electronic prescriptions, and other duties delegated by the remote pharmacist or manager.
