Duties
- Supervise and mentor veterinary technician staff, providing guidance on clinical procedures and best practices
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, restraint, and patient assessments
- Perform diagnostic imaging such as X-ray procedures
- Manage laboratory tests and analyze results to support diagnostic processes
- Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and exotic species with expertise in animal restraint and handling techniques
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary terminology standards
- Support pet grooming, pet care, and animal husbandry activities to promote overall health
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of equipment following aseptic protocols
Experience
- Proven veterinary technician experience with a comprehensive understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Strong background in animal husbandry, critical care, laboratory procedures, and pet grooming
- Hands-on experience with X-ray imaging and laboratory diagnostics is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks
