Arborist Tree ClimberColumbus, OHWright’s Tree Service is currently searching for an Arborist Tree Climber who would be an integral member of our Trim Crew with primary responsibilities to efficiently perform tree trimming, removal, and related arboricultural services on residential and commercial properties.We have been a family-owned company based solely in Central Ohio with 77 years of continuous operation and over 175 years of combined tree-care experience on our team. Pay: $30-$38/hour depending on experienceHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchDisability InsurancePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysLife InsuranceSafety-first cultureAdvancement opportunitiesAccess to training and continuing education programsCompany provided uniforms, PPE, gear and job specific equipmentAnnual pants and boot reimbursement allowanceQualifications:High School Diploma and/or GED requiredValid Driver’s License and clean driving record are required; CDL preferredPreferred experience includes a background in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heightsTool and Vehicle maintenance skills are a plus but not requiredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common internal and external documentsBoth written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions; ability to lift 50lbs, occasionally up to 75lbsResponsibilities:Climbs, prunes, and removes trees using approved arboricultural techniquesOperates and maintains a variety of tree care equipment including chainsaws, brush clippers, loaders, stump grinders, and aerial liftsHoists tools and equipment to other climbers and safely lower branches and logs using ropes and rigging systemsMaintains and inspects all tools, ropes, and climbing equipment for safety and performance and alerts supervisors of maintenance issues in a timely mannerAssists with ground operations, including debris removal, wood hauling, and site cleanupEnsures all safety protocols and ANSI/OSHA standards are always followedMaintains professional communication with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflowIdentifies tree defects, pest, or disease issues, and communicates findings to supervisors or certified arboristsParticipates in company training programs, safety meetings, and certifications are requiredUpholds company standards of customer service and represents Wright’s Tree Service with professionalismDrives company vehicles responsibly and ensures they remain clean and well-maintainedPerform all other duties as assignedDoes this sound like the position for you?
