Congressional Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic, member-focused professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide day to day oversight of operations of branch. Serves as escalation point for member problem resolution. Supervises Branch Service Representative IIs and Branch Operations Supervisors in Capitol Hill Branches. Ensures service level standards and other branch goals are met on a daily basis.


Where you will have an impact

  • Works closely with the branch management in ensuring that service standards are achieved with emphasis on building member relationships and providing proactive service. Engage and motivate staff in the attainment of branch operational and sales goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the branch are running smoothly and according to guidelines. May fill in for any role in the branch at any time. Serves as the escalation point for member service issues.
  • Performs operational functions as necessary including ordering cash, managing the vault, opening closing procedures etc.
  • Assists with the branch recruiting process. Mentors branch staff, and provides hands on training and development to ensure new and existing staff have the requisite skills, knowledge, and appropriate performance levels.
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations and serves as coaches for Branch Service Representatives IIs and Branch Operations Supervisors to attain branch operational and individual performance goals.
  • Responsible for overseeing and monitoring department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations.
  • Works with branch management to ensure that any issues are escalated and resolved in a timely fashion. Steps in and performs other roles in the branch as necessary to maintain high levels of customer service and operations, and to resolve complaints.
  • Functions as an individual performer in providing service to members, resolving complaints, cross selling products and other duties as assigned.
  • Takes ownership as the escalation point for the branch with service or operational issues and provide timely and accurate problem resolution.

What You Bring to the Table:

Qualifications and Skills required

  • A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of Study at a business or trade school or (3)
  • Completion of a specialized and extensive in house training or apprenticeship program; or the equivalent combination of education and/or commensurate experience.
  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
  • Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
