Full-Time | Seasonal Layoff in Winter
Wright Materials Co. is seeking a dependable Operator to join our team at our surface sand and gravel mine in Belmond, Iowa. This is a full-time position with seasonal winter layoffs typical of industry. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and want to grow with a company that invests in its employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor crushing and screening equipment at a surface sand and gravel mine
- Operate an off road haul truck
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of crusher and related equipment
- Maintain consistent material quality and production rates
- Work safely around heavy equipment and follow MSHA and company safety policies
- Communicate with plant and loader operators to maintain efficient operations
- Assist with general plant and site duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a crusher or similar aggregate equipment preferred
- Valid Drivers License
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during the operating season
- Willingness to cross-train in other areas of the mine
- MSHA experience. Training will be provided by Wright Materials
