Wright Flood is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to support the territory encompassing Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and DC. The ideal candidate must already reside in either North or South Carolina to best support their territory and agency partners.
The Primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to profitably market and service flood products in a designated geographical territory. This includes working within the territory framework to meet overall territory/company sales objectives and strategies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
- The RSM will work with assigned independent agencies within their defined territory in the development, marketing, and selling of flood insurance and excess flood where applicable.
- Identify new customers that fit our profile, and assist in the development of regional business plans. Prospecting and contracting new agent opportunities within territory, ensuring prospect's anticipated sales would fall within territory goals and overall Company strategy.
- The RSM will establish strong producer relationships through frequent contact, clear knowledge of company strategy and superior product knowledge including a thorough understanding of company on-line proprietary sales and service systems.
- Track and monitor producer performance, production results and profitability. RSM is responsible for communicating and establishing accountability for performance expectations.
- Develop strong long-term relationships to achieve desired production and profitability results by developing individual performance objectives and commitments for performance objectives for each agent-partner
- Attending and exhibiting at various regional conventions as well as other local association functions.
- Agency training- to provide Webinars and other training to agents as needed. Teach or provide CE classes at various levels (agency, association, state).
- Complete Management Reports, mileage logs, expense reports and others as required by Management in a timely manner.
- Effectively monitor and control expenses by acting as if the business unit results have a personal financial impact. Optimize use of time, money and Company resources to efficiently and effectively manage the territory.
- Maintain complete records of agency visits by entering data into CRM and or company database.
- Market Research: gather competitive data, identifying niche opportunities and trends in the marketplace. Stay abreast of changes in the National Flood Insurance Program and insurance regulations.
- Assist as needed during catastrophes affecting partner agents. This may include a variety of duties inside and outside your territory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree highly desirable
- Must reside in either the state of North Carolina or South Carolina
- Agent license required
- 3 years insurance industry experience required
- 3 years flood insurance experience desirable
- Travel required
- Proficient with MS Office
- CRM experience
- Candidate must possess a sense of urgency, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, interact well with all levels of company personnel, develop and maintain business relationships with insurance carriers and customers, maintain confidentiality of clients’ records, have the ability to handle changing priorities, the ability prioritize and organize, and work independently as well as part of a team.
- This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
This position offers a base salary as well as commission paid on a monthly basis.
