What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Staff position at Wright Choice Too?
- Salary: Starting at $13/hr
- Full time position
- Available shifts: Evening shift: 2 PM - 12 AM, mixed days. Overnight shift: 12 AM - 9 AM, 4 days on, 4 days off. (70-80 hours per pay period)
- MUST BE DEPENDABLE. Tardiness and absences will not be tolerated. If you have ANYTHING that will prevent you from showing up when scheduled and on time, this is not the position for you.
- Must have current/valid driver's license, clean background check, & 7 years clean MVR.
- Pay days are the 15th and end of month.
- No additional benefits at this time.
- You will need CPR, CPI, First Aid, & TB test. (some items may provided/assisted if you don't have it)
JOB DUTIES:
Assist activities of daily living.
Bookkeeping.
Daily progress notes.
Assist with self-administering of medications.
Cook, clean, laundry (or assist the individuals in these activities)
Transportation to doctors appointments & other outings.
Attend on-going trainings. (Online)
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be computer savvy.
Valid driver's license.
Fingerprint/background check. (we cover it)
Prior group home/healthcare/nursing/special needs, experience/education is a PLUS, but not required.
* You must be comfortable with special needs persons, have patience, and you must always remain respectful and uphold their privacy.
* You must NOT have any medical or physical issues, that will prevent you from performing your job duties.
*You must NOT be dependent on any drugs or alcohol.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Trainings are to be completed prior to hands-on assistance (with individuals), and it is paid training. We are seeking someone who is eager to work, and willing to pick up extra hours if needed.

We're pretty chill and relaxed on a normal day. There are horses and chickens on the property if you enjoy animals. We enjoy good laughs, good food, and good people.
