Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety procedures
• Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care, implementing memory care strategies to ensure safety and engagement
• Help with meal preparation and feeding to meet nutritional needs while respecting individual preferences
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through routine cleaning tasks to promote a healthy environment
• Use electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately and efficiently
• Support residents’ social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely during transfers or repositioning
• Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe transportation practices

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of ADL assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care
• Certification or training in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively in challenging situations
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed
• Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities; clean driving record preferred
• Physical ability to perform caregiving duties including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
