Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Support literacy education and math instruction through hands-on activities and individualized attention.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities or special educational needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education practices.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques in a classroom setting.
- Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Previous experience in daycare or private school settings is a plus.
- Understanding of Montessori methods or preschool experience is desirable.
