What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended School Year Wilson Reading Teacher position at Wrentham Public Schools?
The ESY Wilson Reading Teacher’s primary responsibility is to work with students at their current Wilson Reading Level to prevent substantial regression and promote student achievement. The Wilson Reading Teacher provides direct instruction to students with reading disabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Plan and implement evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students and/or groups of students based on their individual needs, as written in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
-Conduct progress monitoring to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
-Support students' academic and social-emotional development
-Collect data on student performance to improve student outcomes and direct instruction
-Monitor student progress and complete a progress report for each student
-Communicate with parents and other appropriate school personnel if needed
-Take student attendance for each class or session
-Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws, and appropriate ethical standards
-Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services
Qualifications
-Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
-Experience: At least two years of experience working with students with learning and other disabilities preferred
-Specialized Training: Wilson Reading training, certification preferred
-Licensure & Certifications: Massachusetts DESE Elementary License
-Knowledge of the requirements of state and federal regulations
-Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
Terms:
-July 6, 2026 - August 6, 2026
-Program runs: Monday -Thursday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (May be less time than this once schedule is determined)
-This position is part-time
-Pay: $50.00 per hour
