What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Technician position at Wreck-A-Mended Collision Center?
Responsibilities:
- Perform auto body repairs on vehicles
- Repair and replace damaged body parts, including panels, fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs
- Prep surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Auto Body Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools used in auto body repair
- Experience with airless paint spraying equipment for painting vehicles
- Knowledge of auto estimating software for accurate repair cost estimation
- Familiarity with auto restoration techniques is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship in completing repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and find effective solutions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and provide updates on repairs
