Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines and transmissions, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to improve handling and safety.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Service vehicle electrical systems, including ADAS components, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to execute repairs with precision and safety.
- Diagnose diesel engine problems and perform necessary repairs to meet industry standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair needs clearly to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks while upholding quality standards.
- Stay current with automotive repair techniques, industry trends, and manufacturer specifications to enhance technical proficiency.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for various vehicle systems is essential.
- Hands-on experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability in vehicle transmission system repair, vehicle maintenance, and welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and understanding complex automotive electrical systems.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and familiarity with service documentation procedures.
- Previous work involving powertrain repairs, vehicle suspension system repair, alignment services, and maintenance tasks is highly desirable.
