Job Description
Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, blood samples. Participates in performance improvement activities Must be physically able to assist lifting patients, medical equipment, etc. Frequent standing, lifting, stooping, reaching, stretching. Requires good verifiable work history with references, excellent leadership skills and team player attitude.
Essential Duties
- Proper procedure of identifying patients
- Displays a courteous and professional manner Collecting, posting, and preparing payments for deposit
- Drawing blood, identifying appropriate collection devices, labeling tubes
- Seeks assistance from laboratory technicians as needed
