Wraparound Community Services is a community habilitation program that offer people with disabilities choice and freedom to participate in community activities. This ever expanding program is dedicated to providing quality community based services to the individuals we serve. Comm Hab is designed to increase independence and community integration for people with disabilities. DSPs in this program will require reliable transportation as services will be performed within the community and transportation to and from the client's home will be necessary.
WSHV is seeking to hire team orientated staff for immediate opportunities in Newburgh, Middletown and throughout Orange County.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with daily living skills - health and personal safety, personal care and money management
- Support opportunities to work on personal skills in the community
- Travel train - teach people how to navigate in the community successfully
- Health and wellness - encourage healthy eating and exercise
- Self-advocacy and making informed choices
- Social skills and development - support people with learning appropriate social skills
- Money management
- Food preparation
- Safe use of public transportation
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid NYS Driver's License required
- Reliable transportation required - mileage reimbursement
- Prior experience as DSP/HHA/PCA or CNA preferred
- Fulltime, part time and flexible scheduling
- No nights, weekends, holidays or mandates - although we do have evening and weekend hours available
- Positions 30 hours per week offer a complete benefits package
- 20 hour per week positions offer some benefits and time off including holiday pay
- Additional $0.50 per hour for staff with 5 years experience
- Additional $0.50 per hour with an up-to-date Defensive Driving certificate

- Mon thru Fri day time hours
- Mon thru Fri 23p-6p
Middletown
- Mon - Wed day time hours
- Wed/Thurs/Fri - afternoons after 3pm
Salary : $19 - $21
