What are the responsibilities and job description for the WEEKEND MORNING NEWS ANCHOR/MULTI-MEDIA JOURNALIST position at WPSD Local 6?
You are an idea person, self-starter and ready to work in a high energy, competitive environment, producing content for multiple platforms. You’ll anchor Saturday and Sunday morning newscasts and report three days each week. You can shoot, go live, write, edit, develop sources, know social media best practices and are a team player. You are a compelling storyteller and the best writer among your peers.
We have the tools you need to be successful, including talented producers, photographers, multiple live backpacks, drones and a traditional live truck. Our journalists frequently land in much bigger markets after honing their skills with our award-winning staff. Degree in journalism or related field and two years of experience preferred.
