The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of two key components. The first component involves gaining practical experience to supplement academic coursework and prepare for future career pursuits. This will be comprised of a hands-on role within a functional area related to a relevant field of study. Each internship incorporates responsibilities and tasks which support the business objectives and client service offerings, while providing ongoing collaboration with experienced departmental colleagues and exposure to "real world" business demands. The second element centers on exposure to corporate culture and professional development.
Interns will participate in discussions focused on building soft-skills and business acumen. As an intern in this role, you will gain hands-on experience building data workflows and developing features for our customer portal while learning from senior engineers in an Agile environment.
Start Date: June 2, 2026
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
The base pay rate offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Work
This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our office three days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713.

What You Will Do As a Platform Engineer Intern
- Workflow Development: Assist in building and configuring data extraction and print management processes using platforms like Ricoh Process Director (RPD), ABBYY Vantage, or OpenText.
- Support Portal Development: Help deliver full-stack features using React/Vite (Frontend) and Java or C# (Backend).
- Explore Cloud & DevOps: Gain exposure to Azure infrastructure, including monitoring and deployment pipelines.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in Scrum ceremonies and track tasks in Azure DevOps.
- Technical Documentation: Help document technical decisions and configuration steps to support team knowledge sharing.
- Are interested in building and optimizing workflows, especially around data extraction, document processing, or automation platforms.
- Want hands-on experience with full-stack development (React on the frontend, Java/C# on the backend) in a real product environment.
- Are curious about cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, particularly within Azure (deployments, monitoring, pipelines).
- Enjoy working in Agile teams, collaborating through Scrum ceremonies while contributing to technical documentation and shared knowledge.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Java, C#, or JavaScript/React.
