What does a Senior Motion Graphics Designer do at WPP Production?
We’re looking for a Senior Motion Graphics Designer with a strong design foundation and a deep understanding of storytelling, motion, and emerging creative technology. This role sits at the intersection of graphic design, animation, and post-production, and is ideal for someone who can think conceptually, design beautifully, and bring ideas to life across digital, social, OOH, retail, and immersive environments.
You’ll play a key role in elevating the quality of our motion work, shaping visual standards, and helping evolve the team’s capabilities, workflow, and creative output.

What does a Senior Motion Graphics Designer do at WPP Production?

You’ll play a key role in elevating the quality of our motion work, shaping visual standards, and helping evolve the team’s capabilities, workflow, and creative output.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an integral member of the creative and production team, fostering a collaborative, team-first environment
- Create visually compelling motion graphics and design-led content across online advertising, retail, media networks, and out-of-home channels
- Apply strong graphic design principles, including layout, typography, composition, color, and pacing, to motion-based work
- Edit video footage and integrate visual effects to enhance storytelling and elevate finished pieces
- Develop motion concepts from ideation through final delivery in partnership with creative teams
- Offer fresh design perspectives and contribute original ideas during brainstorms and project development
- Solve creative, design, and technical challenges with thoughtful, effective solutions
- Partner with creative, strategy, and production teams to troubleshoot and refine execution
- Stay current on evolving motion design, graphic design, animation, and AI-assisted creative techniques
- Drive innovation and evolution within the team’s work, workflow, and capabilities
- Contribute to initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and creative velocity
- Mentor junior designers and help support their growth when needed
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in motion graphics, design, and interactive or digital creative work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D/3D design and animation experience
- Strong background in graphic design with an excellent eye for layout, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Working knowledge of AI tools and how they can support creative ideation and image generation
- An impressive portfolio/reel demonstrating both motion and design capabilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong motion graphics and compositing skills
- Experience editing video and integrating VFX to support storytelling
- Exceptional typographic taste and design sensibility
- Strong creative eye with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communicator of creative and technical concepts
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment
