Key Responsibilities
- Compliance: Ensure all import, export and Foreign Trade Zone activities comply with all applicable laws and CBP & FDA regulations
- Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate and timely documentation required for the clearance of goods through customs using OneSource
- Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic Foreign Trade Zone reports, including Blanket CF 216, Annual Reconciliation, Certification Letters, and FTZ Board Reports
- Classification: Validate the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and determine appropriate duty and/or tariff ad valorem rates
- Recordkeeping: Maintain organized records to support CBP audits, FTZ compliance reviews, and internal controls
- Auditing: Conduct internal audits of customs entries and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify discrepancies and escalate compliance concerns
- Communication: Liaise, communicate clearly and professionally with customs officials, shipping companies, suppliers/vendors, stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the clearance process
- Projects as needed
Qualifications
- 1-3 years Supply Chain knowledge, preferably in Import/Export or qualification in a relevant field
- Familiarity with CBP regulations and 19 CFR Part 146
- Background working with cross-functional remote teams
- Proficiency of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) software; Customs records databases; Integration Point (OneSource)
- Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate to advance Excel skills
- Knowledge of Automated Broker Interface (ABI) or other customs filing systems
- Ability to maintain accurate and efficient filing systems and logs
- Proven knowledge of generating various Custom Forms (CF214, CF216, CF7512, CF7501 (01/06), CF3461
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate operational and business demands
