Job Purpose:
Under direct supervision of the Department Manager and Supervisors, this position will perform clerical and administrative support tasks based on working knowledge of department procedures.
Job Duties:
- Sort and distribute mail by following department protocol and expectations.
- Distribute reports such as COBRA letters, delinquencies, billing, and other assigned reports to the appropriate roles.
- Order, distribute and keep inventory of office supplies for designated departments.
- Strong phone skills including the ability to handle a large volume of incoming calls when providing backup receptionist support for vacations, breaks and sick time.
- May enter, retrieve, and verify information from a computer.
- May compose routine correspondence and compile routine reports.
- Overseeing written communications from external customers at the beginning of an appeals process by coordinating with the appropriate eligibility specialists and administrative assistants.
- Mails out COBRA coupons and other documents as needed.
- Prepares documents for scanning.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: | High School Diploma or G.E.D. and/ or sufficient related training. Preferred: Associates Degree |
Keyboarding Required: | Yes ý No ¨ WPM 55-65 |
PC Experience Required: | Yes ý No ¨ Windows 7 or 10 |
Software Experience Required: | Yes ý No ¨ Microsoft Office Software |
Previous Experience Required: | Yes ý No ¨ One (1) year general office experience required. Preferred: 2-4 years general office experience |
