We are seeking an Inventory & Receiving Supervisor to oversee receiving and inventory control teams. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across inventory and facility support operations.
What You'll Do
As an Inventory & Receiving Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise Staff: Prioritize and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, ensure staff is trained, and maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
- Oversee Inventory & Receiving Operations: Manage incoming shipments, verify accuracy of deliveries, maintain proper storage, and monitor inventory levels.
- Implement Cleaning & Safety Protocols: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; manage sanitation and cleaning procedures in receiving and storage areas.
- Conduct Inspections: Regularly assess cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards; identify areas for improvement.
- Train Staff: Provide training on proper inventory procedures, cleaning techniques, waste management, and sustainability practices.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless material flow and alignment with safety initiatives.
- Prepare Reports: Document results, maintain accurate records of inventory, receiving logs, waste management, and staff performance; collaborate with management to improve processes.
- Maintain Supplies & Equipment: Monitor inventory of tools, cleaning materials, and equipment; request replenishments as needed.
- Supervise Teams: Oversee custodial services, waste/recycling, pallet repair, porters, and sanitation staff.
- Ensure Safety & Quality: Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work meets accuracy, safety, and quality standards.
2 years of supervisory experience in inventory control, receiving, logistics, or related areas (preferably in manufacturing/food production).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Math and Computer skills
Problem Solving skills
Ability to train and motivate diverse teams.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, waste management, and workplace safety procedures.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in cold, wet, and noisy environments (36–38°F).
Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime if needed.
